Dear Friends of Taw Meem Simkat, This Blessed Holiday Season, we send our warmest wishes to you and your family for a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year. It is also time for us to think about Syrian Orthodox children in the Middle East whose lives have been devastated because of the violence and terrible economic conditions. For many Syrian Orthodox families in that part of the world, it has become almost impossible for parents to properly care for and educate their children. In some of the worst cases, one or more parents are killed or injured, or separated from their children. Orphans in that part of the world have very little hope unless they can get help from a religious institution. These are the children we help with your donations. Our Organization, since 1899, has been helping to support the schools and orphanages which educate and, sometimes, house these children. This early chance at an education makes such a difference in their lives, by giving them a foundation on which they can then build. We maintain close relationships with the schools and orphanages we send money to, and our own T.M.S. School in Beirut is fully staffed and operational. During this past year, we sent contributions to the following; |
| ~ Our own T.M.S.
School in Burj Hamoud ~ St. Aphrem Orphanage at Al Atchaneh, Lebanon ~ The Seminary School at Maarrat Saydnaya, Syria ~ El-Zaafaran Monastery and School, Mardin, Turkey ~ St. George School, Zahleh, Lebanon |
~ The Church
School in Aleppo, Syria ~ St. Mark’s Monastery and School in Jerusalem ~ The Orphanage in Homs, Syria ~ St. Gabriel Monastery in Turkey ~ Mousaitbeh, St. Peter & St. Paul, Lebanon |

No part of your donation ever goes to fundraisers, and no one in our Organization is compensated for their time or work. 100% of your donation is used to benefit these needy children and orphans, and we would like to do even more this year. Remember that we solicit donations only once a year, and we invite you to contact us with any questions or comments about our activities. Please, we need more people to know about us and what we do. We would like you to show this letter to someone you know who might be interested, and give them the extra envelope and form which has been included. Please send your donations to the Assyrian Orphanage & School Association, and using the enclosed envelopes, mail to Arthur Asfar, 774 Norman Road, Ridgefield, NJ 07657. For more information, visit our website, which costs us absolutely nothing, at www.schoolassociation.org. |
